Job Description

The Client

Our client is a family owned, Licensed Garment supplier to the high street. They are currently recruiting for an Product Developer/Merchandiser.  Would also suit a Junior Account Manager.

Assistant Product Developer/Merchandiser - The Role:

Be able to negotiate prices with factories via Turkey to meet customer targets and close orders
Work closely with designer to present solutions to customer to simplify design and maintain a good overall sales price
Working closely with the merchandise team & problem solving  
Work together with designers and the retail buying team to build licence ranges  
Update development CPs with buying teams and design team 
Manage the developments in work with factories 
Send licensed packaging to factory when developing samples and confirm orders with buying teams
Able to do costings for buyers and notify customer of sales cost prices & delivery dates
Liaise with buyers and push for prices & samples to close the orders 
Able to work with overseas factories and be able to send orders with all the information to the different factories.
Keep customer updated on any delays caused whilst also responding to new order enquiries 
Raise PO’s on the system, understanding Royalties & Margins and raise PO’s to factories
Aim to learn the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) System 
Have experience to manage development critical path, updating and chasing daily for approvals
Providing customer with weekly updates through Critical path document
Arrange samples in house to post to buying teams
Assistant Product Developer/Merchandiser - The Candidate:

The applicant should be very well organised, with good attention to detail, keen to learn, responsible, self-motivated, multi-tasker and very good communication skills 
Motivated, enthusiastic and have a drive to push sales (identify sales opportunities)
Work on your own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to handle pressure and deadlines
Fast paced and on the ball
Knowledge on trends / Licenses and garment construction would be an advantage
Excellent communication skills as working directly with the customers/ hubs / factories
Team player and able to build strong customer relations and with factories
Admin heavy based role so must be well organised
