HOW TO ANSWER SALARY QUESTIONS AT YOUR INTERVIEW?

The question that usually puts candidates off guard in an interview is ‘what are your salary expectations?’ or something along those lines. If you’re asked this question then it’s fine to state your expectations.
Do you feel scared to say a salary that’s too high in case you don’t get the job offer then you decide to say a lower salary then you feel like you’re missing out financially. So how do you avoid answering this question with no regrets?
Here are some examples to avoid the question politely;
“I’m open and to some extent flexible on the salary as the opportunity to work for your company would be fantastic. However, I’d like to know how you value this role and your budget for this position?”
“I’d prefer not to give this information yet. I’m open to your thoughts as I’m sure you’ll be competitive within the market?”
If you choose one of these examples then make sure that you say them in an upbeat way otherwise you might come across as defensive.
