We Are x Westfield London Pop-up Event

Sustainable fashion brand, We Are, launched a pop-up event at Westfield shopping centre in London from 22nd to 24th October.
The brand focused on offering customers on-the-spot alterations and the chance to upcycle their clothes. Local designers were also featured at the pop-up event and given the opportunity to show their upcycled work to the public passing through.
The pop-up event was part of Westfield’s sustainability initiative that’s aimed at introducing shoppers to ways to reduce their waste. The How We Shop: The Next Decade report by Westfield uncovered that 61% of customers would want stores to make products in-store to minimise waste.
“We Are is delighted to have partnered with Westfield to launch our largest second life fashion event. We Are is playing a big role in reshaping sustainable fashion, offering great brands and an outstanding value for money whilst saving the planet.”
- Matt Griffifths, founder of We Are
We Are is on the mission to provide new ways to shop for secondhand clothes. They have introduced a kilo bag of clothes for £20 and often hosts free upcycling events to give people the chance to buy big-name brands. The pop-up event amassed over 10,000 visitors; a step in the right direction.
