Remote Fashion Jobs

17 March 2023

Although the fashion industry is very hands-on, you can also work remotely. This is perfect news for people that don’t live in a big city or can’t afford to move to one anytime soon.

Post-pandemic life has altered the way many businesses operate, as they were able to adapt to lockdown life. Coming out of lockdown meant many businesses had to choose whether they would go back to pre-pandemic life, or if they kept part of their adaptations to lockdown in play.

Many employees working from home found this to work better for their work-life balance, reduce the commuting stresses, they were able to have additional sleep, time with family, and exercise. Leading to many employers finding higher productivity and happier employees, so why wouldn’t you keep what has been working for your business and employees going?

Your main question may be how can you work from home, or have a hybrid job role, in a very hands on industry? Well, you’ll be commuting through emails, and WhatsApp messages, rather than trains, buses, and cars. Instead of touching fabrics and clothes, you’ll be browsing images and receiving items in the post. It’s understandable that this workstyle isn’t for everyone, but it gives many people the opportunity to delve into an industry they may not have been able to commute to.

As many fashion companies are still very much in-person, becoming a freelancer and working with multiple companies at the same time, could be the route you go down.

Jobs you could work remotely for:

  • Customer Support
  • Graphic Design
  • Social Media Manager
