3 Fashion Trends To Wear This Spring

10 March 2023

It’s time to pack away your winter clothes and bring out your spring wardrobe!

Although the weather may not feel like it, spring is nearly here and so are some new and exciting fashion trends. Read on to find out what cuts, fabrics, and colours you should be incorporating into your wardrobe this spring.

From designer collections seen so far in 2023, there is a mixture of items, from floaty, silky skirts and slips to oversized tailored utility-inspired trousers and skirts. It really does feel like the nineties and noughties beloved fashion trends are coming back into play.

Here are three important spring trends to have on your fashion radar, when swapping out your winter-to-spring outfits.

Full Skirts

Richard Quinn and S.S. Daley were seen to have incorporated an A-Line skirt in a luxurious floral fabric at London Fashion Week. Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior was also seen styling midi skirts and dresses with sheer stockings.

So whether you prefer to keep it simple with black or want to experiment with some spring floral materials a midi skirt is the way forward.

Why not try adding some knee-high or ankle boots, while the weather is still chilly?

Utility

A few major fashion house SS23 collections, like Fendi, Dior, and Balmain, have included cargo pants to be in your must-haves. The trouser material has diverted away from the well-known cargo pant starchy material, to softer, silkier trousers, available in different colours and patterns.

For those a little more daring why not try a cargo mini skirt? An item that has been seen at Louis Vuitton and Coach, and could be paired with an oversized jumper, and can be brought into your summer wardrobe too.

Denim

It has been declared by many designers that denim is still a staple. To be specific, Givenchy, Ganni, and Alexander McQueen have taken us back in time with low-rise jeans.

Another noughties comeback is the denim maxi skirt which has been found to be a popular item on catwalks at Burberry, Altuzarra, and Masha Popova. Similar to the previously mentioned midi skirts, many designers have been pairing these with knee-high boots.
