You may not know but there are many different degrees you could study to go into fashion. Within this blog, you’ll learn what the different types of fashion degrees there are, in turn helping you decide which one is best for you.

A General Fashion Degree

If you aren’t sure which area of fashion you’d like to specialise in, then doing a general fashion degree is probably the best step. Within this degree, you’ll be able to learn the ins and outs of the fashion industry, and the processes involved, from research to design and development to garment construction. You will work in 2D and 3D, exploring textiles, styling, how to forecast trends, and even photography. As well as this, you’ll be able to learn about business and marketing, giving you broad knowledge of the whole fashion industry and how it works.

Fashion Design Degree

From this degree, you’ll learn the practical (pattern cutting, sewing, garment construction) and technical skills (drawing and illustrating) needed to design and make clothes.
