Our client is a leading UK-based design and wholesale business specialising in lingerie, swimwear and nightwear.  Their creative team designs innovative and high-quality products in the UK, while our manufacturing operations are based across China, The Far East and India.  They are proud to work with an extensive portfolio of UK brands and retailers, delivering fashionable, comfortable, and quality garments that meet our clients' exacting standards including specialised adaptive and plus size ranges. This is a new role to join an expanding Sales and Business Development Team.  As a Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the sales growth and strategy of the company. You will be responsible for managing and nurturing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working with the Merchandising, Design and Technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of their products to UK brands and retailers. Your focus will be on maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, setting and meeting sales targets, and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Sales Account Manager - The Role:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Attend customer meetings face to face and online with Designers to present ranges and trends. Contribute to marketing ideas and campaigns on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and others to promote the capabilities of the business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, merchandising, technical) to ensure timely and accurate delivery to clients. Manage full costing process with overseas factories, negotiating to manage customer and own margin expectations. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the management team.  Use insights gained from market analysis to refine sales strategies and improve product offerings.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support, attending fit sessions with garment techs and critical path meetings with merchandisers.  Address any post-sale issues or complaints, working to find effective solutions promptly.  Gather client feedback and communicate it to the design and production teams for continuous improvement.


Sales Account Manager - The Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager or in a similar sales role, preferably within the fashion or apparel industry.  Would consider a more junior candidate to grow into the role
  • Experience within lingerie, swimwear, or the nightwear market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events in the UK and abroad.
  • Experience working with UK brands and retailers.
  • Knowledge of the production processes and logistics involved in manufacturing in China and the Far East.
