Job Description
Our client is a long established and leading manufacturer and supplier of own brand and licensed character nightwear, underwear, hosiery and socks across men’s, ladies and children’s wear. With the addition of babywear and accessories. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Senior Designer/Design Manager to join this successful design team within a fast-paced environment.
Senior Designer/Design Manager - The Role:
- Hands on Designer - Designing ranges based on seasonal trends for several high street stores but also ability to manage a team in line with business objectives.
- Using digital drawing skills to create commercial graphics and print repeats.
- Create detailed CADS and tech packs.
- Create specs & ensure all details are correct.
- Working directly with overseas factories.
- Seasonal Trend research and presentation packs.
- Liaising with Far East factories to ensure samples arrive inhouse on time.
- Creating designs, technical packs and mood boards.
- Create artworks in Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Updating Excel spreadsheets to log and track samples & fabric developments.
- Researching trends, key fabrics and imagery research & creating moodboards.
- Maintaining strong relationships with the internal team & external suppliers.
Senior Designer/Design Manager – The candidate:
- Must have 5 years plus experience
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Photoshop & Illustrator.
- Exceptional communication and team working skills.
- Have strong hand & digital drawing skills to create graphics & print repeats.
- Management experience
Senior Designer/Design Manager - The Package:
- Competitive depending on experience with early finish Fridays
